It's been my belief for a long time now that solving for global warming is the bottleneck we have to cross in order to be able to terraform other planets and actually create an interplanetary future for humanity. And there are enough people working on the problem that it could work, provided our governments don't mess it up for everyone in the pursuit of smaller agendas.
