My question is what 18th century chores would you want to keep? E.g. I would be happy not to grocery shop again, maybe once every 1-2 months or so at most! There aren't a lot of chores I want to do regularly, but then I also agree that being outside a city forces you not to think about them so much as chores - you're just 'living'. City life forces a different perspective around chores - there's too much else to live for, so why do chores too?
